How to Edit Redport Optimizer's Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID)

Want to customize the local network name of your Redport Optimizer or Long-Range Halo Kit? Learn the simple how-to's in this guide.

The Redport Optimizer's Wi-Fi network is by default named after its model number and last 4 digits of its individual MAC address.

This naming convention makes it easy to discern one Optimizer from another, but does't make for an attractive or memorable name. Please follow the below steps to learn how to quickly customize your Redport Optimizer or Halo Long Range Wifi Extender Kit network name.

You can always return the SSID to its default name by performing a Factory Reset to your Optimizer.

Steps to Edit Optimizer's Network Name

  1. Connect your computer, smartphone, or tablet to your Optimizer's Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open a web browser, and type the following IP address into the URL bar: 192.168.10.1
  3. When the login screen has loaded, sign-in with the following credentials:
    1. Username: superadmin
    2. Password: webxaccess
