How do I update the firmware on my inReach device?

Follow the instructions below for your inReach model

Download Garmin Express
Install Garmin Express on your computer
Launch Garmin Express on your computer
Connect your inReach device to your computer
Select your inReach device, or click Add a Device and follow the on-screen prompts if your device is not listed
Click Install or Install All to install all of the updates
Review the Terms and Conditions and click Accept to proceed
Review the important notes and click Continue
Garmin Express will display upgrade progress and when finished, display your device as You're up to date!
Once the upgrade process has completed, disconnect your inReach from your computer and it will complete installing the firmware.

The firmware on your inReach device is now updated.

Download inReach Sync
Install inReach Sync on your Windows computer
Launch inReach Sync on your computer.
If you are prompted to update the inReach Sync program, follow the steps to do so.
You may be prompted to enter a username/email and password.
Enter “tracertrak” in both fields.
Connect your inReach device to your computer
The inReach Sync software will check if there are any firmware updates available for your inReach device. If there are, run the firmware update process completely as guided by the inReach Sync program.
When your inReach device's firmware is up to date, disconnect your inReach from your computer.

The firmware on your inReach device is now updated.
