How do I allocate a person to a device?

Use the quick link on the Configure > Devices page or allocate them in the Device Details page

Person Allocation Overview

Allocating a person to a device associates that person to the actions of the device, including the tracking events, Check-in events, Help requests and most importantly SOS requests.  Understanding who has the device provides context of who has triggered the events from that device.  This can be life saving information in emergency situations and thus, it is highly recommended that the person allocation for a device is maintained.

Allocating from the Configure > Devices page (recommended)

The Configure > Device page provides a quick allocate links for People and Profiles, making it easy and intuitive to set, change or clear these allocations.  Clicking on the quick allocate icon in the People column and the desired device row opens the allocation page that allows you to set, change or clear the Person allocated to the device.

Allocating from the Device Details page

The allocation of a person to a device can be changed in the device details page.  From this page, click on the change button button to the right of the person setting to open the Person Allocation page from which you can set, change or clear the Person allocated to the device.

No access?

If you lack permission to allocate a person to a device, request access from your account Administrator.
